Please refer to the Government Order (GO) notification issued by the Security Guards Board for Brihan Mumbai and Thane District dated 23 February 2026, regarding the implementation of the revised definition of “Wages” under the Code on Wages, 2019, and the Code on Social Security, 2020, effective from 01 February 2026. As per the notification, the Board has revised the wages and allowances of registered security guards/officers, applied ESI coverage as per the new definition of wages, updated the levy calculation to 45.35% on minimum wages (Basic + Special Allowance/DA), withdrawn the Leave Travel Allowance, and revised the Washing Allowance to 1,300 per month.
